Name: SHAKILA Age: 10 years
The sudden death of Shakila's father severely distraught her mother to the point where the mother could no longer take care of her children. As a result, the children ended up on the street and survived by picking rags and eating from the garbage. Bethlehem Children Home was informed that Shakila was on the street, without any clothes and picking up garbage. Our volunteers responded immediately and got her into the orphanage 6 years ago. Shakila is studying in Class 3 in Mount Carmel School, New Delhi, India.
Health Records: Having crossed eyes, she has been going through corrective surgery.
