Ranjita's father died in a road accident. While grieving her husband's death, Ranjita's mother found herself in the role of a sole provider for herself and her little children. Because of her lack of education, Ranjita's mother had to work from early in the morning till late at night for very low wages. Despite all of her hard work, she was not able to earn enough money to support the family. While their mother was at work, Ranjita and her younger sister were left alone and locked in the house all day long. It was very hard for Ranjita's mother to properly care for the children, so she had to make the difficult decision to bring Ranjita to Bethlehem Children Home. Ranjita has been at Bethlehem Children Home for seven years, and she is currently studying in the seventh grade. Ranjeeta is an excellent student who loves dance and music. She is a born leader with a servant's heart who helps and mentors young children.

Ranjeeta is studying in Class 7 in St. Mary School, New Delhi, India.
