Name: JYOTI
Age: 10 years

Jyoti's father was an alcoholic who suddenly went missing one day. Jyoti's  mother was uneducated and could not take care of the family, so they all became homeless and lived in cardboard boxes. A social worker found the family and brought Jyoti to Bethlehem Children Home, where she was admitted in 2002. When she came, she was just like a tiny lump of flesh and was very malnourished. She is a happy little girl who loves to talk and sing all the time.

Jyoti is in third grade at Mount Carmel School, New Delhi, India
